After careful discussion and evaluation, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra has made the difficult decision to conclude operations of the DSCC at the end of the 2025/26 concert season. We are proud of all that has been achieved by the students, artistic team and staff during four years of operation.
We are grateful to Artistic Director Ellie Lin, Artistic Manager Paula Olsen, Operations Manager Emma Jensen, Brittany Haywood, Victor Johnson, Hans Grim and Cory Curvin for their outstanding artistic and organizational work.
We hope you will join us for the final performances of the Dallas Symphony Children’s Chorus at our Spring Recital (April 19, 2026) and in Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 (May 15 and 17, 2026).
2025/2026 DSCC Season
(All Choirs)
Celebrate in song as the DSCC joins the DSO for the fourth year. This spring concert will feature the chorus made up of auditioned singers in 4th through 12th grade from around the greater Dallas area.
(Symphonic Voices only)
Gustav Mahler, one of the great orchestral composers, is known for his dramatic and sweeping works. He premiered his 8th symphony also known as “Symphony of a Thousand,” just before his death. Symphony No. 8 in E-Flat Major requires a remarkable number of choral and orchestral musicians to perform, including children’s chorus. The DSCC is delighted to be a part of such a magnificent performance, and we can’t wait to share it with you!
