A parent/guardian meeting has been scheduled for August 20th, 2022. It is a business meeting to discuss the year ahead, and we appreciate your every effort to attend.

The first rehearsals will take place on August 22nd, 2022, starting at 6pm.

Rehearsals are scheduled for Monday evenings, starting at 6pm on Monday, August 22nd, 2022, and will be held at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, as has been practice in the past.

We are aware of the conflicts with the Choral Society and very disappointed in the way in which Lovers Lane UMC has handled the situation. We understand that it is confusing and are working toward a solution that is in the best interest of our singers and families.

DSCC Concerts have been scheduled as follows:

  • 10/2/22: Moody Performance Hall
  • 11/27/22: Meyerson Symphony Center
  • 2/26/23: Meyerson Symphony Center
  • 4/30/23: Meyerson Symphony Center

We are happy to announce that an anonymous donor has graciously sponsored dresses for all the girls/young women.

Boys will continue to wear tuxedos and you will receive wardrobe order forms in mid-July.

Following the June 30th 2022 deadline, we will be able to determine how many choruses we will have in the DSCC’s inaugural year, and we will share at that point the names of the choruses.

Ms. Ellie Lin has been appointed Interim Artistic Director.

Over the next few weeks, we will hire a Chorus Artistic Manager, Chorus Operations Manager, Site Manager, conductors and accompanists for each chorus.

All artistic staff will report to the Vice President of Artistic Operations for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Ms. Katie McGuinness.

Yes, and there may be additional opportunities for chorus members to sing with the DSO in concert.
