Hans Grim

DSCC: Symphonic Voices Assistant Director

Hans is the Director of Fine Arts for the Alvarado Independent School District where he also directs the high school choir program. Hans is a frequent guest music director for Dallas’ Lyric Stage and has played or conducted over 50 musical theatre productions in DFW theatres as well as multiple times for the national tour of Mamma Mia. As a collaborative pianist, he has played for TMEA region concerts, TCDA clinics, multiple high school and college choir concerts, and musical theatre showcases and cabarets. He is a frequent collaborator with Ms. Ellie Lin, most notably performing in 16 cities across mainland China as a guest pianist for the Texas Boys Choir under her direction. He has his Master’s of Music Education from Tarleton State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Texas Wesleyan University. He is married to local actress and teacher, Mary Gilbreath Grim.
