Opening with a haunting interlude that only the organ can provide, get into the spooky season with a spine-tingling musical adventure at the Meyerson Symphony Center! John Williams’ Chamber of Secrets sets the tone, followed by Mozart’s dazzling Magic Flute Overture and the mischievous chase of Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King. Dance along to Gabriela Lena Frank’s colorful Mestizo Waltz, and follow Prokofiev’s Cinderella through waltzes and the suspense of midnight. The program concludes with showstopping selections from Stephen Schwartz’s Wicked, featuring the chart-topping-hit “Defying Gravity.” It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season with music that’s magical, mischievous, and just a little bit spooky.
