Sandra Doan
Sandra Doan has been director of artistic planning at the Cliburn since 2011, responsible for delivering the mission of the organization through programming and overseeing all artistic operations. As such, she has planned and executed three editions of the flagship Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, working afterwards to launch the careers of the laureates. She has also designed and produced three editions of the Cliburn International Amateur Piano Competition, launched and delivered three editions of the Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition and Festival, redeveloped its local concert and community series, and expanded education programs, now serving nearly 60,000 students in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Sandra received her undergraduate degrees from TCU in piano performance and economics, her MA/MBA from SMU’s arts management program, and an artist diploma from the Liszt Academy of Music, which she attended as a Fulbright Scholar.
