Melissa Robason
Melissa Robason first started with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 2004 as a young library intern looking for a career that suited her love for music and detail-oriented nature. She continued to work on a part-time basis during the summers while she studied music and English at Texas Christian University. In 2008, she began working full-time as Assistant Librarian with the DSO and spent three summers working at the Aspen Music Festival and School, one year as Orchestra Librarian and two years as Head Librarian. In 2013, Melissa moved to New York City to work as Music Librarian with the Metropolitan Opera. In 2021, Melissa moved back to Texas and occasionally assisted the DSO with library projects. She is thrilled to be back full-time as Orchestra Librarian starting in the 2024-25 season. In her free time, Melissa is an avid reader. However, free time is quite rare as she would more likely be caught chasing her three boys around (Ethan, Benjamin, and Oliver) and occasionally her husband, Zac, as well.
