Dave & Lauren Moore
Dave Moore is a joy-filled disciple who seeks to honor God through his music, ministry, and family. A devoted singer-songwriter, producer, and liturgist, Dave puts the bride of Christ before his artistic ambitions. Dave serves as the Director of Music and Liturgy for the National Eucharistic Congress. Dave and his wife, Lauren, are the founders of Catholic Music Initiative, a non-profit apostolate that creates beautiful and singable music for Mass. Their work strives to build a bridge between contemporary and traditional isles, while summoning engagement and enlivening the hearts of the faithful to enter into full union with God in the Mass. Dave’s deepest desire is to see a unified church, where the Eucharistic Lord has primacy of place in the hearts of the faithful- rightly honored, adored, and worshiped. Dave resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Lauren, and their daughter.
Lauren Moore is a wife, mother, and worship leader who seeks to inspire God’s people through music that draws hearts toward the Divine. As a cantor and vocalist for the National Eucharistic Congress and co-founder of the Catholic Music Initiative (CMI), Lauren has dedicated her life to creating beauty that leads others into prayer.
In January 2025, Lauren was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. The illness left her temporarily paralyzed and required extensive hospitalization and rehabilitation. Through months of recovery, Lauren’s faith was tested and deepened. She gives thanks to the incredible physicians, nurses, therapists, and caregivers who walked with her through the hardest days. She believes this season of suffering was allowed by God as a gift- one that shaped her spirit and strengthened her testimony.
On November 4, Lauren will return to public ministry for the first time since her illness, performing at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. This milestone marks not just a return to music, but a profound witness of healing, grace, and perseverance.
Lauren studied vocal performance at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and The University of Texas at Austin. She has sung and directed over a thousand recordings since the founding of CMI with her husband, Dave, and has performed internationally in Germany and Austria. While trained in various vocal styles, Lauren has recently found particular joy in sacred chant, which she arranges and records for CMI’s partnership with the Hallow app. She also serves as the Broadcast Mass cantor and frequently leads nights of worship throughout the Diocese of Dallas.
Lauren’s story is one of resilience, hope, and a deep calling to use music as a vessel of healing and praise.
