Brent Ross

Brent Ross joined the DSO as second oboist in 2008, following four seasons as Associate Principal/second oboe in the San Antonio Symphony. He has participated in festivals such as the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, Tanglewood, and Aspen, among others. An alumnus of Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, Juilliard, and the New England Conservatory, Brent’s principal teachers include Elizabeth Camus and John Ferrillo. He is fortunate to have also studied with the late John De Lancie and John Mack.

Ross lives in East Dallas with his wife Claire and their three children. They enjoy playing at White Rock Lake, playing music together and listening to Dad make oboe reeds.
