A native of Dallas,Texas, Brayla Cook, known as ‘brays.anatomy’ on social media, is fast making her place in the industry with her rhythmic harmonies, infusing the genres of R&B, Gospel and Hip-Hop to create a unique sound. Brayla is a graduate of Berklee College of Music where she received her BA in Songwriting in 2021. During that time, she ventured into many activities that jump started her career as a performer. She was a member of Berklee’s renowned acapella group Pitch Slapped where she led their viral performance of Beyoncé’s Deja Vu in 2018.

Brayla continues making her mark in the industry, opening for artists like Kenyon Dixon and Avery Wilson, and as a vocalist in the artist collective Treway & the Now Generation. She’s been featured on Donald Lawerence’s latest project Donald Lawrence Presents Power: A Tribute to Twinkie Clark in 2023, and performed live with Jon Batiste on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, as well as adding vocals on Worship from Batiste’s grammy nominated album, World Music Radio. Brayla’s sound is rooted in the orchestration of background vocals braided within the storytelling of the lyrics.

She has now dropped two EPs, booked a slew of live shows and continues to build her online presence through her socials. As she pushes forward in her pursuits, she aspires to continue to be a student of music throughout her career. Her hope is to inspire many more like her to always enjoy the freedom of self-expression through music.
