The DSO’s new Music Innovation Lab is a 3,500-square-foot interactive learning space located at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. Designed to explore the different components of music through cutting-edge technology, the lab features AI-powered tools and multimedia installations developed by engineers at MIT’s Media Lab.
The space includes five unique discovery zones, each offering hands-on experiences that encourage learning and collaboration in the music-making process. Learn more about these discovery zones below.

The Music Innovation Lab was designed with young people and students in mind but can be enjoyed by music lovers of all ages.
The Lab will be open to the public starting September 9, 2025, with three 90-minute sessions available for bookings both during the school day and on weekends. Each session will be open for up to 25 guests. Reservations must be made in advance.
Yes! The Music Innovation Lab is currently accepting reservations from school groups as part of a beta testing phase.

The Lab is free for school groups now through the end of the school year. The Lab is not currently open to the general public. Ticketing details and pricing will be announced soon.
