For more information on how to make your gift count towards our 2026 fiscal year, please see below.

A gift made with a check is deemed paid when the donor mails the check. If the donor mails the check and the envelope is postmarked by or on May 30, 2026, the gift will count towards the 2026 fiscal year. This is true even if the DSO does not receive and/or deposit the check after May 31, 2026.

Please mail any checks to 2301 Flora Street, Dallas, TX 75201 and make them payable to the Dallas Symphony Association.

A gift charged on a credit card on or before May 31, 2026, will contribute towards our current fiscal year (even if the charge appears on the donor’s credit card statement after May 31, 2026).

Please note, if a donor mails in credit card information and it is received by the DSO after May 31, 2026, it cannot be back-dated, even if the envelope was postmarked before this date.

The timing of the deductibility of a gift of stock depends upon when the donor has relinquished control over the stock. Therefore, the date of the gift is the date the stock is transferred to Charles Schwab on behalf of the DSO.

Because stock transfers can take multiple days to process, it is strongly recommended that these requests be made by the donor through their broker no later than Friday, May 22. Please call 214.871.4042 to notify the DSO of any transfers.
