Five-time Grammy Award winner and 10-time Grammy nominee mervyn Warren is a highly accomplished film & Tv composer, record producer, lyricist, songwriter, arranger, pianist, and vocalist. Equally adept at practically any style, Warren’s work spans the genres of pop, R&b, jazz, orchestral, classical, hip-hop, vocal, country, and gospel. one of the industry’s most sought- after producers, his credits read like a who’s-who, and include Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Queen Latifah, Boyz ii Men, Varbara Streisand, David Foster, Celine Dion, Rascal Flatts, Michael Bublé, Dolly Parton, Chicago, The Manhattan Transfer, Al Jarreau, Faith hill, and many more. He has composed the orchestral underscore for numerous feature films—from comedy to drama to action—including the #1 hit The Wedding Planner, A Walk To Remember, and A Raisin In The Sun (2008). he has also produced and created unique song arrangements for numerous films, including Sister Act 2, Living Out Loud, and most of the Grammy-nominated, multi- platinum soundtrack for The Preacher’s Wife (Whitney houston)—the best-selling gospel album of all time. Warren also produced, arranged, composed, and/or performed on a total of 13 tracks on Quincy Jones’s last three albums.

Warren was an original member of Take 6, the a-cappella sextet that took the world by storm in 1988. he sang with Take 6 from 1980 to 1991, recording two albums with them—one platinum, one gold. With the group he won four Grammy Awards, six Dove Awards, two stellar Awards, and a soul Train Award. On his own, Warren earned an additional Grammy Award for the all-star Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration, as well as five additional Grammy nominations, an additional Dove Award, and two Gospel Music Workshop of America Awards. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Warren was playing piano by age five and was writing songs by age 10. he went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and a master of music degree in arranging from the university of Alabama.
