Two favorites of classical music await you at this concert, masterfully led by Music Director Fabio Luisi. Fellow-Italian, violinist Francesca Dego, joins him and the DSO for Beethoven鈥檚 Violin Concerto, a magisterial creation of dramatic impact some violinists have dubbed their 鈥淢ount Everest.鈥 Mozart鈥檚 regal 鈥淛upiter鈥 Symphony, aptly named for the king of the gods, with drums and trumpets lending a stately feel, set a crown upon the composer鈥檚 symphonic output.

Principal Harp Emily Levin is front and center for Henriette Reni茅鈥檚 gorgeous Concerto. Widely recognized for his dual career, John Storg氓rds both plays and conducts Beethoven鈥檚 composition of poignant lyricism and songlike eloquence as well as Keith Jarrett鈥檚 Elegy, which pushes the boundaries of what we think of as 鈥渃lassical.鈥
