Rachel Webb
Rachel is from DeSoto, Texas, 15 minutes south of Dallas-proper. Dallas is, and forever will be, her home. No one can argue with her on this: “Dallas has the best barbecue and the best underground R&B artists. Period.”
Singing Gospel and R&B music was her passion at a young age. Rachel did local talent shows and sang at school events. In 2009, she began attending a summer intensive with The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL) that changed her life. For 8 summers, this program taught her professionalism and gave her opportunities to perform and collaborate on a larger scale. Through connections at TBAAL, Rachel went on to attend Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, which is “the haughty way of saying that went to high school with a bunch of weird artists, and I loved every bit of it!”
It was at Booker T. that she knew she needed to be an artist because, Texas State University became her home away from home. Now, with a BFA in Musical Theatre, she is a proud member of the CGF Talent Agency. She is spending her time doing play readings, Film projects and finding my voice as a songwriter. Stay tuned for original music in 2021. In the meantime, check out her videos, portfolio and social media platforms
