Animator | Percussion

Eric Farrar is Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Associate Professor of Animation in the School of Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication (ATEC) at UT Dallas. He started his professional career as a freelance percussionist before returning to school to study 3D computer animation. He immediately fell in love with animation as a means for combining his appreciation for visual art with his background in music. Eric worked for the LA-based visual effects studio, Rhythm & Hues, as a character rigger working on films including Night at the Museum and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.
