Black History Month 2025

February is Black History Month – a month-long recognition and tribute to the contributions of generations of African Americans who have played a pivotal role in U.S. history. Noted historian and Harvard alum Carter G. Woodson is known as the “Father of Black History” and is credited as the founder of Black History Month, also known as African American History Month.
